Aid fund for Ukrainian women

The company BIJB advance the initiative to raise money for Ukrainian women with children, who were forced to escape from war. We are concerned about their financial possibility to feed themselves and their children.

Why do we help

Julia Bernatska
Julia Bernatska, owner of BIJB's Kyiv's office, has an urgent plea to assist the women and children who fled Ukraine. BIJB is a woman-owned company based in Kyiv that mainly focuses on Microsoft Power BI analytics.

quote As a single mother, I am heartbroken to witness what is happening in my country. Millions of Ukrainian women with children are forced to flee the war, leaving behind their husbands and all they have to seek asylum in other countries. They are alone and have difficulty supporting and feeding themselves and their children.

Fear, pain, and despair are the emotions that now permeate every Ukrainian woman's heart. That is something I am fully aware of and fully comprehend how critical it is to give them a chance to get out of this challenging period and back on their feet.

As a result, our company, BIJB, has launched an initiative that can provide direct financial support to Ukrainian women who've been forced to flee military aggression.

We ask that you contribute to the support of Ukrainian refugees. Any contribution does have a significant impact. Together we can make a difference.quote

The Reasons

Russian aggression of Ukraine began on the 24th of February. Most of women left Ukrain only with children and documents. They were forcedly come to foreign country, without money, without knowing language and with children on their hands.

Looking for a job may take on average from 3 to 6 months. If woman has a baby under a year old, her opportunities to work are very limited.

Also without knowing language you only can get a job which will be able to cover only accomodation and food expenses. But if you have a baby with special needs and demanding additional conditions, so earned sum of money will be not enough for even the most necessary things.

Employment in Japan

19.07.2022

In April 2022, our company BIJB launched the #Ihelpukrainianwomen initiative, the main goal of which was real help to Ukrainian women who were forced to flee the war. One of the main directions is helping those girls who want to change their major and start working in IT. Now we have an opportunity to help experienced IT specialists (both girls and boys) remaining in Ukraine with remote employment. The work is sufficient.

Mandatory conditions of employment:

  1. Experience in web development from 3 years
  2. Free communication in English

I want to say that hiring workers, who do not live in Japan and do not even speak Japanese, is a new experience for Japan. There is such a practice here, but to a very limited extent. Therefore, the fact that we were able to agree on such opportunities for Ukrainian developers is a big step in the beginning of the development of relations between Ukraine and Japan.

New bicycles for Ukrainians

15.07.2022

Japan is very supportive of Ukrainians both at the state and private levels. Thanks to the efforts of Sanshiro Fujimoto, Ukrainians in Tokyo and Chiba received 20 new bicycles.

In Japan, bicycles are the main form of transportation for  many residents. The attitude towards bicycles is serious. They are registered and issued numbers like a car. The police can stop you at any time and check if you really are the owner of the bike.

This is such a necessary and important transport for us that some arrived today even before the opening of the store. 😄
